(For more information on this, see the Character Creation Guide.)

On the third tab called “Character Application,” you’re able to build up your application and prepare it for submission to our staff. Using the MCS application system isn’t required; you can just as easily create your own topic in the Character Pool board. However, the MCS system is designed to create the topic and all the posts within it. Therefore, building your application using the MCS is based on the idea of using posts to separate the information.

The MCS Application system is designed to create and update all posts simultaneously. This way, any changes made to your character sheet can be updated on your character application. Once you've prepared an application, to submit it, select the "Submit & Save Character Application" down at the bottom right. After you've submitted your application, you can update it by selecting "Submit & Update Character Application" in the relative position.

  • Using Shortcuts

    • In your application, you can use tags to draw information from your character profile. This way keeps you from copying/pasting your character sheet and allows you to update your character sheet and application at the same time.

    • Here are the list of tags you can use:

      General Tags

      • [postername]
        [fullname]
        [race]
        [age]
        [gender]
        [alignment]
        [moral]
        [occupation]
        [possessions]
        [appearance]
        [personality]
        [skills]
        [strengths]
        [weakness]
        [history]
        [other]

      Miscellaneous Tags

      • The Miscellaneous tags are made from the extra fields that you create in your Character Sheet and are called by the Title of said field. Therefore, if you have an additional field called “Afflictions,” you could call the information in that field by using the tag [Afflictions]. These tags are case-sensitive, so for them to work, you’ll need to use the exact same casing as you used on your profile tab.

      Special Tags

      • There’s only one special tag for now and it’s the [post break] tag. Using this is an alternative way of adding a post to your application. It sections off the information that follows it into a new post for your application.

  • Adding/Removing Posts

    • Each player has a start out limit of 5 posts per application. (To request more, simply PM your Technical Counselor) A current limitation of our system is that, once you’ve submitted your application, whatever number of posts that you used, you are stuck with. You cannot add or delete these posts (but you can request that they be removed or added by a moderator).
      With that said, before submitting…

      • To add a post, simply click the ‘Add Post’ button above and to the right of the application section. Remember, you cannot submit more than 5 posts at once.
      • To subtract a post, simply click the ‘Delete Post’ button to the right of the ‘Add Post’ button. This button will only show up if you have more than one post in your application, as you cannot have less than 1 post to submit an application (obviously).
  • Having Multiple Applications

    • Only one application is required per character, but in this system, you’re allowed to store multiple applications on our server. This may serve useful for those who would like to resubmit their application after their characters have changed over a period of time to make sure they’re still within the bounds of our system.

      • Creating New Application

        • To start a brand new application, click the + New Application link. A new page will appear and you can insert the information desired. Once finished, click 'Save' and your application will be stored on our server.
      • Deleting an Application

        • To remove an application, click the – Delete Application link. After your page has loaded, your application will no longer be stored on our server.
      • What does the primary application do?

        • Your primary application will show up on your character sheet. It should be selected after you’ve submitted an application.
